Against a PSB you only need to be right 1/3 to call it off, so if the V is capable, not betting helps you avoid giving them enough leverage to knock you off the hand. QTs, Q9s, T9s, with or without the flush draw and a variety of other flush draws.Ĭhecking also prevents you from getting bluffed out - you should probably be bet/folding here to a reasonably large raise (since V will probably have 8x/boat when they make a large raise), and you'll be beat frequently when they do raise, but you'll be in a tough spot. There's only ~30 or so combos of underpairs, and there's a wide variety of suited trash that hit this flop that V can have. V would most likely bet Jx for value if you check, and the lost value against underpairs is made up by the gained value from flushdraws that you give room to bluff.

Your default in a heads-up pot where you're the last aggressor should probably be to c-bet, since you're on average going to be ahead and if you don't bet your overpairs then astute villains can raise your bets.
Coming in late to this, but I think you should c-bet the flop (I agree with samo that the default line here is bet/check/bet).
